1. About Gumleaf

Gumleaf is an independent guide and community for parents in NSW. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NSW Department of Education, NESA or ACARA. Information is general and may be out of date — always check official sources.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older to create an account. Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what you post.

3. Zero tolerance for objectionable content

We have zero tolerance for objectionable, abusive, hateful, sexual, threatening or unsafe content, or for content that puts children at risk. You must not:

• harass, bully, threaten or abuse anyone;
• post hate speech, slurs or discriminatory content;
• share children's full names, photos, schools or other personal details;
• post spam, scams, advertising or misleading information;
• impersonate others or list a fake tutor.

We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules, without notice.

4. Reporting and blocking

Every post, reply, review and tutor profile has a Report option, and you can block any user. We review and act on reports within 24 hours, removing offending content and ejecting users who posted it.

5. Tutors

Tutors list themselves. Gumleaf does not employ, vet or check tutors. Parents must confirm a tutor's NSW Working With Children Check and qualifications before booking. Payment is arranged directly between parent and tutor.

6. AI answers

The Ask feature uses AI and can be wrong. It is not professional advice.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from My family. See how to delete your account.
